HUAWEI E153 HSDPA USB Stick

I am using Celcom Broadband. After 4 years, my modem cannot be used anymore. So, I bought a new modem, which is a HUAWEI E153 HSDPA USB Stick, for RM130, with 6 months warranty from the shop, and 1 year warranty from HUAWEI, and the modem can be used with other ISP such as Maxis and UMobile Broadband.

After purchasing it, I read the user manual which recommended to me to register my modem on their online registration service. But strangely, the web said the IMEI number that I key in is not available. Weird. So, I call their service centre, and he said he will activate the IMEI first. He didn't even ask the IMEI of my modem! Weird again.

Ignoring the crappy service centre, I tried to connect to the Internet using the modem. The modem launched an application, Mobile Partner. It detected WCDMA signal. When I click on the "Connect" button, it said "Connection terminated". In this case, you have to click Tools at the Mobile Partner menu bar. Click General, and select RAS(modem). Hope I can help anyone with this problem. Leave a comment if I helped. :)
